Ichinomiya, Aichi, Japan｜Sushitomo

On the recommendation of a friend who lives in Ichinomiya, I visited on Saturday afternoon. I had hitsumabushi. The eel was crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside, and the sauce was slightly sweet, just the way I like it. The rice is not too soft and not too hard, which is just right. The liver soup has a strong soup stock, but it has a slightly light taste. This is just right as it does not interfere with the taste of the eel. Whether you eat it as it is, add condiments, or pour soup stock over it, it's all delicious. It's a pity that the quantity was a little small. The price is reasonable, so it's unavoidable. (It seems that the price has been raised from July 2023 due to the soaring price of eel.) The customer service was very good, and it was a store I wanted to visit again.

Used for lunch on weekdays. I ordered the upper eel bowl. It's located in a shopping street, and you can see the fruit shop from the window. When I ate it and it smelled good, it was perfectly grilled, fluffy, sweet and spicy sauce, liver sucking, and pickled melon!

The name is like a sushi restaurant, but it is an eel restaurant where you can eat delicious eel in earnest. The crispy grilled eel is delicious with the sweet and fragrant sauce. You can eat eel on rice for 2,200 yen, and hitsumabushi for 3,000 yen. The Unaju in the photo is 2,500 yen (including tax). There are a good number of customers, and the interior is retro Showa. The Honmachi shopping street outside has a retro feel and a good atmosphere. It's a nice place to feel like you're on holiday.
