Unagi (Kansai style) kamameshi is the Showa style eatery in the middle of the old Nagoya. They continue to use their 85 year old tare is also used for Uzaku, the cucumber and unagi dish. Quiet atmosphere, warm hospitality.

I've been curious about this place for about 10 years but never visited. This is an eel kamameshi restaurant. It is secretly located in a residential area north of Takatake Station. When you go to the restaurant, you will be warned that it will take at least 30 minutes to prepare the kamameshi. Of course, I didn't care so I just went in. I take off my shoes and go to the second floor. There are only private rooms, making it easy to use for entertaining. When I spoke with the proprietress while placing my order, I heard that even celebrities come here often. It was said that there were more customers from outside the prefecture than from within the prefecture. The delicious brown rice tea that I received at this time♪ “Eel Kamameshi” 5,500 yen Kamameshi, liver soup, pickled vegetables, sweets and soup stock are served. As you can see, kamameshi is made by pouring sauce over the rice after it has been cooked. At the same time, the eel seems to have come later, so I was impressed by the fact that it didn't taste like it was steamed. When the eel is grilled, it retains just the right amount of crispness, but still has a fluffy thickness. Best of all, the sauce is neither too sweet nor too spicy, and it's delicious. By covering the food with a lid and steaming it, you can easily remove the burnt food and enjoy the food until the end. The dashi soup is delicious, and the amaou is also delicious and worth the price. I can understand how it feels to be visited from a distance.

A long-established restaurant that does not look like an eel restaurant at first glance. I was led to a Japanese-style room that felt like I was at my grandma's house, and ordered eel boiled rice. Kamameshi, liver soup, pickles, soup stock, and melon are set. The price has increased by about 1,000 yen since then. It's been a long time since I ate it, but it's still delicious! The proprietress is also a good person.
