Ichikawa, Chiba, Japan｜とり吉

I visited here for the first time in over 10 years. In the past, Ichikawa was at work, and I often stopped by on my way home from work, so it's a pretty popular shop around here. This is a delicious restaurant that specializes in yakitori, fresh fish, eel, and local sake. With the intention of finishing off with eel bowl, I narrowed down the menu to a few items that would go well with alcohol, and ordered today's specials: grilled green peppers, pickled firefly squid, and red sea bream made with pine bark. Green peppers are a simple dish that is grilled whole and soaked in soup stock, but it goes well with beer, Japanese sake, and anything else. The firefly squid okizuke is also a large firefly squid that is perfect for sake. The Matsubazukuri was a thickly cut red sea bream, and the chewy texture of the skin was very delicious. I ordered Toriyoshi meatballs and liver with sauce. These meatballs are full of volume. The liver was also perfectly grilled and very delicious. The eel is steamed and grilled Kanto style, so it takes a while, so I ordered an eel bowl on the way. I ended up eating too much and had to eat a lot less rice. Just after I finished eating the yakitori etc., the food was served. There isn't much rice, so it doesn't feel very filling, but the eel has a lot of volume, and because it's steamed, the surface is fragrant, and the inside is fluffy, and the sauce is crisp and not too sweet, which is perfect. The eel here and the sake go very well together. We recommend that you make a reservation at a popular restaurant just after it opens or if you have multiple people. We have a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, including alcohol and wine. Thank you for the meal. I would like to visit you again when I am nearby.

Both the food and the clerk are excellent, and it is a good shop overall. If you want to enter an izakaya near Ichikawa, this is the number one!

This is a pub with delicious food and drinks. First of all, the yakitori and other grilled foods are exquisite and really delicious. I can't eat it at home drinking, and now that the emergency declaration has ended, I think it's the most worth eating. (This is just my personal opinion...) Unagi is on the regular menu, and there are three ways to grill it: Kabayaki, Shirayaki, and Botayaki. Personally, I recommend the store's original grilled botany in the photo. The eel is grilled in ponzu sauce instead of sauce, sprinkled with lemon and served with wasabi, and it goes well with sake. The price is quite high because it is eel, but it is recommended. As for sashimi, the clerk will tell you the recommendation first when you sit down, but if you ask for it, you can't go wrong. You can see the commitment to other menus everywhere, and the number of menus is not so many, but it is a shop that is fun to choose. Sake is recommended for Japanese sake. Above all, the store clerk is very friendly and provides a very pleasant customer service. Personally, I think it's a rare shop where you can get more satisfaction than the price.
