Suwa, Nagano, Japan｜Tomy

This is a post from when I visited during the Obon period, and there was a very nice master in formal attire, with a bow tie, black vest, and suspenders. The atmosphere inside the store also tells the story of the times and feels strangely calming. The pudding a la mode also had a homely feel and was delicious. There was an air conditioner in the store, but it was so hot that I was sweating. There is a 1st floor and a 2nd floor, and you can smoke on the seats on the 1st floor, which was nice.

I felt nostalgic when I entered the cafe, which has been loved by locals for a long time. A friendly master welcomed us. There were many female customers. The menu is extensive and I wanted to eat them all. The waffle was warm and matched with cheese and delicious, the parfait was moderately sweet and easy to eat, and the pudding a la mode was sweet and creamy, so even if you eat three, you can eat it well. If you visit in the summer, you will want to eat sweets using floats and fruits.

The bow tie master is 80 years old, but he is youthful, efficient and makes custom items and has good taste. The store is recommended as a place where you can enjoy the atmosphere of the Showa era.
