Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan｜松本十帖 「おやきと、コーヒー by artless craft tea & coffee」

Love the friendly staff and overall vibe of the place. The interior exudes a beautiful wood tone and vintage accent. The soft background music and late afternoon sun relax the soul as one sips away the mellow dripped coffee. There are two kinds of beans, dark roasted and medium roast, both offering very unique profile. The place also serve small treats that pair well with the coffee. Staff was able to converse in basic English, which made the experience even more delightful.

As a guest of Hotel Matsumoto Jujo, I got free service of coffee and tea with snack at this wonderful cafe in authentic Japanese style. Quality food and drink provided by helpful staff. Parking was available. I was indulged into the deep rooted culture of Old Matsumoto. Highly recommend it as part of the whole package of my stay at Hotel Matsumoto Jujo.

This is a "members only" cafe but is part of the check-in process for Matsumoto Jujo. The nozawana oyaki was fantastic, but the anko oyaki may not be to your taste if you are used to the sweetened version of anko. The coffee was not the typical japanese fare, although the aroma makes you think it will be.
