When you come to Karuizawa, be sure to stop by Tsuruya supermarket to buy fresh and affordable fruits, vegetables, nuts, and dairy products. Mikado Coffee's ``Mocha Soft'' in Tsuruya is very delicious. My husband and grandchildren both love Mocha Soft. The price has increased to 480 yen each. You can choose between a cone and a cup, and the cup contains one prune. They are softer and more delicious than regular dried prunes. At this shop, the only soft serve you can choose from is "Mocha Soft". The first mocha jelly I bought was 660 yen ^^

It is located inside the Tsuruya Karuizawa store along the National Route 18 bypass. There aren't many eat-in chairs, and they're shared with Subway and Tsuruya restaurants next door, so even on Sunday mornings, the seats are full of people returning from shopping. If the weather is nice, there are many benches outside along the river, so it might be a good idea to sit on one. When you come to Karuizawa, you definitely want to try Mikado Coffee's mocha soft serve, but here you can eat right away without lining up like at Old Karu or Prince Shopping Plaza, so it's recommended for people who come by car. The mocha soft serve is good, but the mocha float and mocha jelly are also cold-brewed coffee, so they have no bitterness or sourness and are refreshing and delicious. The prunes attached to the jelly are also a nice accent 👍️

Shinshu ~ Karuizawa Bullet Gourmet Trip ⑥ / Mikado Coffee Karuizawa Tsuruya This trip, the last post is Karuizawa's famous shop "Mikado Coffee". While shopping at Tsuruya Supermarket using coupons for national travel support, the three of us ate mocha soft serve at this shop in Tsuruya Supermarket (^^) I've been to the Karuizawa Kyudou store before, and I couldn't forget the deliciousness of the mocha soft serve, so I ate it for the first time in a while. Modestly sweet, with a good balance of bitterness and richness, this is a soft serve for adults. As expected, it is software provided by a long-established coffee shop that has been in business for over half a century! If you order it in a cup, it comes with prunes. These prunes are a nice accent to the taste when you put them in between your meals. This is the end of the bullet gourmet trip. Well, it's over 4 hours by car from here to home! Unlike in the past, the Chubu Odan Expressway ↔️ Shin-Tomei Expressway has become quite convenient, but Karuizawa is not an area that you can easily go to. For that reason, even if it was a bullet, I fully enjoyed it in a short stay ＼(^^)／ It was fun and delicious! I want to come to Karuizawa again!
