Yamanochi, Nagano, Japan｜SORA terrace

We arrived at around 11:30, there isn’t much queue to purchase the ticket, and we waited less than 10 minutes to get onboarded to the ropeway, it runs every 20 minutes. The ride is around 10 minutes to get up to the top of the mountains. You get a good view of the towns, rivers and mountains around this area. After a 30 minutes walk, we rested at the cafe for a drink where you can enjoy the greenery, peace and serenity. You could actually spend a couple of hours here as they served lunch and drinks. In total we spent an hour and the half which will be recommended. Bring along a jacket as it get chilling up there.

We didn't have luck on our visitting day as we could barely see things outside the cafe. Though we believe that it must be very beautiful view out there. And the Sora Cafe was really nice & cozy. It serves very nice food at reasonable price. We still enjoyed our day even without the view.

Great spot. Absolutely loved it. View is insane from here. Need to take wheel chair and top of the hill have a cup of coffee or lunch. Not sure if they keep it open at night too.
