Quiet little cafe with rustic design. Great place to chill and kill time. Very nice coffee drinks.

Inside building and straight up steps on your right, and you've arrived! Owner grinds beans to order and makes your coffee drip-method in what looks like the business part of a 1980s sports jockstrap, or in a large ibrik (think Turkish/Lebanese copper coffee pot) on the gas stove. I has French blend followed by Guatemalan.. both very satisfying. The owner's very friendly and speaks some English. In photos I'd seen in reviews, the place looked quite large and modern.. but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was in fact not very big. There is lots of wood, including a long wooden counter to sit at with plenty of individual wooden chairs, and a good number of small tables filling the bulk of the shop's space. Tea is also available. It has its own toilet on the left as you go in. Location.. in a side street, in a building more or less opposite MARIYA Handicrafts shop in central Sapporo. ps. Don't be put off by the jockstrap reference! It's just one of those cloth drip coffee filters. I was just being cheeky.
