We visited Chanko Dojo to try Rikishi Chanko Nabe. It did not disappoint. The man and woman running the restaurant were very kind to us as I did my best to speak Japanese (I’m not fluent and still learning). The Chanko nabe was incredible! We enjoyed the entire experience.

Excellent chanko nabe! It helps if you know Japanese when interacting with the staff, but they do have an English menu to help with ordering and understanding how it all works. Prices are per person, but the hotpot is for a minimum of 2 people, so bring a party of like-minded people who can share one pot. Hot, filling, and flavorful in an awesome sumo atmosphere!

Family & homey feeling, delicious food and relaxed atmosphere. Really enjoyed my lunch!
