Shinjuku City, Tokyo, Japan｜Hachikian, Tokyo Kagurazaka

My son and I went to Kagurazaka. We passed by this restaurant a few time and aware of their Oyakodon is very good and won some awards. We finally had time to visit today to findZ. We ordered their oyakodon don set with duck soba and udon. Both were really good, above our expectation. The eggs and chicken meat in oyakodon tasted really good, a good combination. To our surprise, their soba and udon were equally tasty, the soup base was really umami but not oily. We would definitely revisit in near future.

4th visit here. Very good Kyoto-style cuisine focusing on chicken & duck meats. The chicken sukiyaki & mizutaki hotpot are both very good. I had the lunch roast duck rice bowl today and it was excellent!

Only a local could bring us to this great restaurant at the heart of Shinjuku. Let yourself be guided by the local flavors.
