I visited this place the other day when I traveled to Ise. When we first entered the store, we were greeted by lively spiny lobsters and abalones in a cage. The store has a clean feel, and you can see that the employees are well-trained by their brisk work. On this day, I had lobster tempura off course, and as everyone's reviews have said, all of them were delicious and I was able to thoroughly enjoy the lobster. Visited around 19:00 on Saturday, June 3, 2023. A famous restaurant in Ise where you can enjoy the fantastic dehulled Ise lobster. The dish I ordered was the phantom molting spiny lobster kaiseki that I had reserved in advance. This is a course meal where you can enjoy lobster in a variety of ways. So, this time I will review them in the order in which they were provided. First, we started with the horse mackerel pickled in nanban and mozuku vinegar. Nanbanzuke is delicious with a gentle sourness and sweetness that soaks into the batter that the horse mackerel is covered in. Mozuku vinegar is not so sour, and if you use it without suffocating it, it will penetrate and taste delicious. Next is local fish sashimi. ...I'm not good at fish sashimi, so I'll leave no comment. Next came the lobster sashimi. You can feel the freshness of the ikezukuri. Its body, like a jewel that shines in the light, is surprisingly plump. I've never had shrimp with such elasticity before... As expected, it is the king of shrimp. As for the taste, you can feel the sweetness in the flavor of the spiny lobster, which is exquisite. If you have this, you will be able to drink an unlimited amount of alcohol. Next is grilled turban shell. In fact, it was the first time I had ever seen a turban shell. I'll enjoy having this. …Oh! Every time you chew it, the aroma of the ocean and the flavor of the shellfish come out and it's delicious! Up until now, I have avoided eating it because it looks grotesque, but I regret that I should have eaten it sooner. Next is salt-grilled lobster. The creamy, rich Uchiko roe and miso with the concentrated flavor of the spiny lobster are irresistible. The meat is strong, but has a slight sweetness, and the texture is chewy and delicious. This is a cooking method that can be described as "simple is best." Next is lobster leg tempura. This is plain but very fragrant, crispy, and delicious. Personally, I think this was the dish that allowed me to enjoy the aroma of the spiny lobster the most out of all the course meals we had this time. Next is Ise lobster grilled in the shell. The flavor of the soy sauce is added to the deliciousness of the salt-grilled dish, and there's no way it wouldn't be delicious. delicious. Next came the phantom skinned spiny lobster, which can be called the star of this course meal. The cooking method is butter-baked. The sight of it and the scent of butter make me salivate and let out a deep gulp...now it's time to eat it. No matter which part of the dehulled spiny lobster you bite into, which is grilled to a golden brown using fragrant butter, it tastes like a dream, combining the rich aroma of butter with the flavor and aroma of the spiny lobster. What I found especially delicious was the shell part. When you eat it, it's crispy and fragrant, and the butter oozes out... It was without a doubt the most delicious of the course meals we had this time. I wasn't sure whether to eat it until the end because it was a little expensive compared to regular spiny lobster, but I'm really glad I tried it because it gave me an irreplaceable eating experience. The main dish has already come out, but the lobster rush isn't over yet. Next is the lobster stew. Compared to traditional spiny lobster dishes, the elasticity is weaker and softer. Combined with the sweet and gentle seasoning of white miso, it is a heartwarming dish. Next is the Ise lobster miso hotpot. This dish clearly shows the excellence of Ise lobster as a stock. The ingredients simmered in the soup that melted the flavor of the spiny lobster were ranked 1st and 2nd delicious. Next is Amamaki. It was delicious, but nothing special. Next is Ojiya. It's made with the miso hotpot soup from earlier, so it looks simple, but the taste is top-notch. It's so good that it overturns the concept of "Ojiya" cooking. Lastly, homemade ice cream for dessert. The refreshing matcha flavor was the perfect ending to the course. This concludes the course. Along the way, we were allowed to touch dehulled Ise lobsters and regular lobsters before cooking, and enjoy comparing their hardness.We also exchanged hot towels, and the owner even went out of his way to greet each customer. I would like to note here that not only the taste but also the customer service was top notch. I went to Yamatoan Kuroishi, a famous restaurant in Ise that I wanted to go to for a long time. This is a long-established store specializing in spiny lobster, where you can taste the phantom shedding skin of spiny lobster. There are many word of mouth that many people come from far away in search of this peeled shrimp. Unfortunately, I didn't have time this time and visited for lunch, so I ordered a seafood bowl. The seafood bowl that arrived looks very gorgeous and luxurious. More than 10 kinds of toppings, including shrimp, eel, tuna, salmon, and sea bream, are on top. One thing that makes me uncomfortable is that the fish is painted with amadare. If you ask me, in Mie, the seafood in the seafood bowl is eaten with amadare instead of soy sauce, so this is my first experience. Does Amadare go well with making fresh fish? When I try to eat while thinking, this is also very delicious! ! I personally like it more than soy sauce! All the ingredients are fresh and the volume is perfect.
