Miyoshi, Hiroshima, Japan｜Gombe Okonomoyaki

The best okonomoyaki and service to match. Small but authentic, very friendly. Great ambience and experience.

I stayed in Miyoshi to catch the first train to Bingo-Ochiai on the Geibi Line. If you come to Hiroshima Prefecture, you can't miss okonomiyaki. In Miyoshi, I went to Okonomiyaki Gombe, which I had researched because they had karamen. A small, cozy-looking shop that is privately run. The Hiroshima Carp game is being shown on TV. It's a store you'll want to stop by every day on your way home from work. I ordered the Gonbe Special Karamen. The master baked it with his practiced hands. The noodles were topped with carp sauce, which I had never seen before, and were very delicious with just the right amount of spiciness. I'm very satisfied with the okonomiyaki, but what about the master and his wife? The customer service is really good. The service was perfect and I had the best memories of this trip. Next time I would like to go to Miyoshi for this store. Thank you for the meal.

Okonomiyaki in Hiroshima has various characteristics depending on the region. On the way from Hiroshima to Sakaiminato, I was looking for a place around noon, and found an okonomiyaki restaurant in Miyoshi that uses Karamen (spicy noodles) and jumped in! Just entered the store as soon as the parking lot was vacant 😁 Okonomiyaki Soba, Okonomiyaki Karamen, Gonbe Special (see the menu in the photo) I ordered while talking that I came from Hyogo and looked it up on the internet! Since it will be eaten by 3 people, I asked for it to be cut into 3 equal parts. 😭 He was a taciturn master, but I was able to eat comfortably! I hope I have the chance to go again 😊
