One of those magical dining experiences you’ll remember forever. It’s a tiny place - only sits about 4 people, but you’ll be cozily tucked in right around the large griddle where the food is prepared. The owner and chef is a delightful older woman who works with a big smile, and she works all alone. She doesn’t speak a lick of English, but the menu pretty much only consists of Okonomiyaki, so you can’t go wrong (just choose between Osaka style (flour based) or Hiroshima style (soba or udon based)). Sit back and watch her do her magic! Once it’s ready, she slide it over and leave it on the griddle. Just cut it up like a cake and take a slice at a time. It’s a really intimate dining experience - perhaps typical for a Japanese customer, but something entirely different for most visitors. The food was DELICIOUS (and a sizable meal, so bring an extra stomach). I had the Hiroshima style, which came with slices of pork on it. It’s topped with PLENTY of spring onion and pickled radish (I think?). She’ll give you a couple of sauces to try (mayonnaise and a sweet soy) - have a taste of both! I had a ginger ale from the fridge too, which was super tasty. For the meal and drink I paid just 900 yen, and left with a full belly and a huge smile on my face.

It is a great little place. The owner was super friendly and helpful even though she didn't speak any English and the food was delicious.

Local bar with wonderful food, cold drinks and really friendly woman on charge 😊. Only 5 places at most
