Himeji, Hyogo, Japan｜Bonanza

We had planned to eat okonomiyaki for lunch, but the places were closed despite signage saying otherwise. Disappointed, we left and went about our day (the plan was visit Himeji Castle) and then happened on this place. It's nearby the station and accessible by elevator where it is located on the second floor. When we went inside, the staff was so friendly. One of the staff (a lady about middle age) took our order and was surprised to see we were foreigners. My party of 3 speak a bit of Japanese so she was pleasantly surprised, but was so friendly, though she said she wasn't good at English. That being said, the okonomiyaki was so good, though definitely recommend the Bonanza special with udon. The drink bar is a great deal for your money if you drink a lot of liquids, though they do give you water and also sell alcohol. The place itself feels very homey with all the wood and decorations; there's even a manga shelf. We definitely enjoyed our time here and I will definitely be bookmarking this place for next time.

This was such a nice place. The staff helped me out when I was confused on the dish I was wanting to order. The food is so yummy and delicious. I liked the recommended drink bar which was a great value. This was a great place for dinner.

Big portions for good price. Surprized to see Hiroshima style okonomiyakis!
