Hiroshima, Japan｜Okonomiyaki Itsuki

Delicious okonomiyaki. The owner was very kind. They have old mangas on the wall (ie. Dragon Ball, Doraemon and many more) so you can read while you eat. Very relaxed atmoshpere too!

It all started with You Tube. The world is beginning to see an exit from the coronavirus pandemic. Visited Hiroshima for the first time in about 3 years. There are many famous shops in the city I was looking for a private restaurant with some flavor, so I searched for Hiroshima okonomiyaki on You Tube and found it. It was hot, so I drank beer and had stew while waiting for the meatball soba topped with green onions. First of all, the landlady's skillful cooking...even though it was just one operation, the food was grilled one after another on the griddle and delivered. I feel like I could drink beer just looking at this lean but not sloppy kitchen. The most important part of okonomiyaki is the generous amount of cabbage...and the addition of soba makes it very filling. It also tastes good and is cheap. The proprietress is also a humble person, and once I entered the restaurant and tried the food, I understood why locals keep coming in one after another. I'm planning to come to Hiroshima next time in April, so I'd like to stop by again.
