Nakatsugawa, Gifu, Japan｜Yubunezawa Gohei Mochi Takoyaki

A very cute little Takoyaki store run by a very polite Japanese woman. It serves the best Takoyaki I have eaten anywhere in Japan. It is cooked to perfection, full of flavour and light on the toppings which is great. Has take away or dine in options and a Japanese only menu. This isn't an issue because the owner will show you the options. We ate Takoyaki and savory mochi balls with a slight peanut flavour, both were absolutely delicious. I would recommend going out of your way to visit weather you're staying in the area or just passing through!

I wanted to eat Gohei-mochi from Gifu, so I went to Yubunezawa Gohei-mochi. I went. Each one was handmade and delicious! It's a shop I want to come back to when I'm in the area.

I came here for the first time in four or five years. Gohei mochi was delicious as always. They used to have takoyaki, but they apparently stopped doing that. I'm sorry. However, the freshly baked Gohei mochi was the best.
