Hiroshima, Japan｜Ken's Bar

This is just an amazing bar, the number one bar in Hiroshima! It is a little bit hard to find, especially if you are not used to the often well hidden Japanese bars and restaurants that have a small staircase leading up to them. Though it shouldn't be to hard to find - just find the Ken's bar sign and then go up the stairs until you reach the bar. The bar itself has a really nice atmosphere, cool music, friendly people and so much more. It is foreigner friendly, the drinks are really cheap - 500 JPY per drink and the barman makes the whole experience even better! He speaks both Japanese and English, recommends you drinks, partakes in various bar activities etc. So yeah, if you want to have some fun in the evening, this is the place.

One of my number 1 bars in Japan! Who makes it special: the owner/bartender Ken, amazing guy who speaks perfect Spanish and English (ideal for my multilingual group), sings karaoke like an angel, and salsa dances like a king! Really cool, friendly vibe, specially for us as foreigners who don't always gets the best welcome. 500 Yen for drinks...so cheap. It's off the main street but so worth it. The karaoke made it for us. It's also a great size, specially for Japanese standards, with a dance floor, dart board and private booths. I'll definitely be back.
