Ichihara, Chiba, Japan｜手打ちそば 十六亭

Authentic great tasting soba restaurant, with the host and chef more than happy to try and communicate in English. The agadashi tofu just melted in your mouth. The soba was fantastically satisfying on a summers day of 32c. The restaurant is easy to miss sitting around a bend on a small hill.

The food was great. I also love the traditional japanese style interior.

Nihachi's handmade soba noodles are flavorful, chewy, and delicious. The fresh yuba tempura is crispy and gooey on the inside. It takes a little time, but it's worth the wait.
