Hiroshima, Japan｜Yoshi Sushi

Wow! If you goto one sushi restaurant in Hiroshima, this is the place to go. Small shop managed by 2, only 8 seats. Some of the best sushi I have ever had and an amazing sake selection. I rarely give a 5 star review but this place succeeded expectations and the hospitality put it over the top. They speak very little English but if you try Japanese they are very patient and explain the entire meal. Have your hotel make reservations as they only have one seating a night and is omakase only. Sushi chef studied in Tokyo for 10+ years and only left to open his own restaurant in his home town Hiroshima. He also tries to incorporate his own twists and added truffle oil on one piece and served a rice stuffed tamago.

Went during new years and the omakase was fantastic. In addition to the well curated omakase the chef was very nice and even printed out an english menu for us. Despite not being able to speak english well he tried very hard and made us feel very welcomed both while making the reservation via call and in the restaurant.

Great meal and very friendly people! We don't speak Japanese but they printed an English menu and provided a voice translator. They also made a lot of effort to communicate with us and be sure we felt welcomed. If you're looking for a great omasake sushi experience in Hiroshima look no further!
