I went there for lunch. I looked closely at the menu and found that there was a lunch menu, but I didn't notice it, so I ordered a single item. Local yellowtail, red sea bream, small sardine, and engawa all cost 182 yen. It's the cheapest fish, but it's delicious. Lunch comes with free arajiru, but the red sea bream araji is delicious. The price for 6 nigiri items was 1019 yen including tax, which I think is reasonable. Added on 8/21/2022: When I was passing by, I saw a restaurant offering "Lunch Gozen" so I stopped by. There are four types of lunch sets, but I chose the average (¥780), which seemed to be the most cost-effective. The 8 pieces of nigiri come with miso soup of sea lettuce. The utensils are well-made, the squid has a fine knife in it, and the kohada is well-crafted, and I was impressed by the techniques that part-timers and robots couldn't do. Regarding the most important taste, squid, yellowfin tuna, conger eel, sea bream, and salmon are ○, and tuna and shrimp are △. But considering the price, I think it's a great value and delicious lunch! 2022/9/20 Today, in addition to the lunch set, there were local dishes such as Yew Squid and Hari Squid (both ¥198 each), so I ordered them. Chii squid is too big and its flesh is hard, and Hari squid's flesh lacks elasticity. The squid for lunch is better. Maybe I was expecting too much from Shimanami.

All the ingredients at Kaisen Sushi Shimanami are fresh and large, and the prices are reasonable. Especially "Toro" is so soft that it melts in your mouth. The lunchtime menu seems to be popular during the day, as it has a wider variety than other sushi restaurants. I feel like I ate it for about 2,500 yen per person.
