Delicious and affordable. Great service. This is a very small, intimate place. When we went it seemed to be just an old man running it on his own. Please be respectful and do not expect a regular restaurant experience. He spoke little english but was very helpful and tried to teach us how to eat sushi correctly.

I visited for dinner on a trip with my husband. Since it was a weekday, many shops in the area were closed, so I found this shop while walking. There was no one else there but us, so we enjoyed the meal and chatting with the general. We enjoyed delicious recommended local specialties and fresh fish. The grilled Hida beef sushi was delicious. It looks like I can visit Gero Onsen and Shirakawa-go in winter without any problems, so I would like to come back and enjoy the winter cuisine here.

I visited on a Saturday around 7pm. There were 2 customers. I was guided to the counter and ordered beer and plum wine soda. A customer who came in about 5 minutes later was turned away, so there were only two groups at the restaurant. After that, we ordered special sushi, stewed beef tendon, roasted ginkgo nuts, natural mushrooms, and Komo tofu. Since the general is working alone, it makes sense that there is a limit of two groups. Every dish that came out was a masterpiece that was carefully prepared. Each time they served us a dish, they explained the food to us, and while we were eating, they also talked about it, including some local information. Finally, I ordered hot sake and mackerel. This is also delicious. It was a store that I would like to visit again the next time I come.
