Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan｜江戸前 三重鮨

By far the best sushi place in Matsumoto!! The very friendly owner and staff (the English menu card is very helpful as well) provided us with some amazing good sushi. All very fresh fish/scallops/squid/etc. and well in balance with the rice and wasabi. Don't forget to taste some of the Japanese omlette.....yummie!! But still my favourite is their unagi (eel). That all goes down well with a fresh beer from draft or a green tea in a typical Japanese (many locals come here after 7:30pm) ambiance. Definitely a place to recommend.

This was by far the best sushi we've had in 3 weeks in Japan. The portions were very generous and the fish was top-quality, didn't need any sauce. The chefs were super friendly and helpful and even made me a tiny sakura made of tiny makis and goldleaf as a gift!

Trust me, you want to go there. Best sushi in Matsumoto (plus a great atmosphere)
