Not a fancy-looking place, but ofttimes that is a sign you are about to enjoy a delightful meal. Everything here had that from-scatch taste to it. Absolutely scrumptious!

Exit the east exit of Oimachi Station and head east along the street in front of the station. This store is located inside a somewhat nostalgic arcade. The store has the atmosphere of a traditional Chinese restaurant. It's a little past lunch time, but let's go in. You will be taken to the second floor. The first floor has a traditional Chinese style, but the second floor has a revolving table that can be used for banquets. First, I ordered a draft beer. I'm wondering if I should have lunch while drinking a cold beer or just a single item. The lunch menu includes shrimp shrimp with chili sauce and spicy stir-fried chicken. It looks delicious and the lunch menu is cheaper in the end, but I found Chen Mapo Tofu among the individual items. I love this dish so I'll order it. There are several customers in the restaurant who look like locals eating lunch alone. This looks like something delicious to eat. As I was slowly drinking beer, mapo tofu came out. It looks delicious and spicy. Let's try it right away. The mapo tofu is as delicious as you would expect, with a hint of spiciness and umami. Beer progresses. The tofu tastes sweet probably because the sauce is spicy. It makes you want to eat rice, but it also goes well with beer. When you order Chinese food, you order several items and share them, so if you order a single item, it can be quite filling. It took two beers to finish the meal. My stomach is full and I feel satisfied. Chen Mapo Tofu is definitely delicious and spicy!
