More Comments at Google MapWelcome to flavor-town! This place is the real deal for Sichuan food. Brought good memories of Chengdu and in general of Sichuan cuisine. We tried the spicy Sichuan chicken which is as spicy and numbing as it gets with tons of flavor and very tasty! We also had the spicy beef yakitori which have a lot of cumin and again, tons of flavor. Mapo tofu was as good as it gets with the right amount of heat and enough numbing spice to make it one of the best I have had. We also had the black fried rice (soy sauce based); and closed with the spicy beef soup which has tons of spicy numbness and very fragrant. Only cash and service was so slow that we ate each dish fully before they brought the next one, including waiting for a few minutes to see if the next dish will show up!
The Sichuan restaurant I have eaten at many times is at the top level among the Sichuan restaurants in Tokyo that I checked in. That is, its menu and drink list are all tax-exclusive. When looking at the menu prices, you need to bring in 10% of the tax. Everything else is tax-free. It was perfect and the food was very, very delicious.
Generally, I think Chinese food in Japan sucks particularly the Cantonese school. If there is any genre of Chinese that shines among the subpar Chinese cuisine is that of the Xichuan school. This restaurant is one of the best in this category and the price is very reasonable - this could be considered amazing given that it locates in Ginza. I highly recommend.
