Takaishi, Osaka, Japan｜Reiwa

The restaurant was small, but the chef was cooking alone. I think he's a delicious Chinese chef. The older sister takes orders and serves tea. When I ran out of cold tea, they immediately added more. Thank you 😊

As the store name suggests, I was curious that it was open in Reiwa, so I visited for lunch on Sunday. The inside of the shop is cozy with one table and several counter seats, so it seems that even one person can use it. Dandan noodles are recommended in the menu table, but I ordered the mapo tofu set meal (800 yen). The main dish, mapo tofu, had a light flavor with a gentle scent of spices, and a light and spicy taste. If you can eat medium-spicy curry, I think you can enjoy it just by sweating your face. However, it is not the heavy main dish that is common in Chinese cuisine, so if you want to eat a lot of mapo tofu, you may feel a little unsatisfactory. The bang bang chi on the side is also juicy and delicious with chicken, and I think the overall volume is highly satisfying.
