More Comments at Google MapI was captivated by the words on the storefront that read today's recommended dish, ``Tomato Tandanmen,'' and went in for dinner. Although it was recommended, there were no photos and it wasn't on the regular menu, so it was a gamble, but it turned out to be a big hit. Sliced tomatoes surround the bowl, and although it looks like it's cold, it's still warm. The tomatoes are soft and have just the right amount of acidity, which brings out the richness of the dandan noodles. There's plenty of tomato flesh hidden in the soup, making it more like Italian-style tandan noodles than just a topping. The dandan noodles themselves have a good flavor and a nutty texture that works well. The tomatoes and dandan noodles go well together, and the chef's skill shines through. I drank the soup and thought it would be a regular menu item.
Lately, I've been thinking that hiyashi chuka is expensive everywhere, but here it is for 700 yen. I went in relieved. The sour sesame sauce made it easy to eat. The gyoza was also nice and crispy with wings. It feels like a familiar and stable home-made Chinese restaurant, and I think I would go there more often if it were closer to home.
I had mapo eggplant and mango flavored shrimp mayo. Both are very delicious and reasonably priced! The gyoza and noodles are also consistently delicious! ️
