Hakone, Kanagawa, Japan｜China House Gyoza

The gyoza makes this place, it's gyoza that you will remember. We got both types and both were amazing (one had an interesting leaf in it whose flavor I remember but not the name). I ended up stuffing myself with those and their excellent kimchi cucumber, so there wasn't a lot of space left for the tantanmen I ordered. Talking of, I hoped it was going to be a small bowl, given limited stomach real estate, and it turned out to be exactly the opposite. It was a large bowl full of soupy goodness and noodles and corn and nori and what not! One sip in and I knew I was going to have to finish this while it's hot and spicy. I ended up getting thru 75% of it and taking a brisk walk to try soothe my burgeoning food baby. The spot is clearly a favorite of the locals and rightly so. The servers were all so amazing and nice and made our experience wonderful, I'd love to be back here whenever I end up back in the beautiful town of Hakone to give Owakudani-san and Fuji-san a visit.

We loved the place. We couldn’t find a place to eat and luckily we found this place. The food is tasty and the staff were welcoming. I called to ask if they were still open at 7:30pm and the man who picked up the phone said they will close at 8 but as long as we get in before 8 there’s no problem. He also spoke English to us even though we were speaking Japanese. That showed that he wanted us to feel welcomed and accommodated. Would recommend this place to anyone who likes Ramen and Gyoza.

Affordable, delicious pot sticker at affordable price. We ordered shrimp, crab, and squid pot sticker. While all three are pretty good, but squid pot sticker is suited for our tastes better than the other twos. The curry is a wild choice ( if you like curry, you gonna like it). They also have take out, so you can orders various flavors, pick your alcoholic drinks at nearby Lawson, and have a great time in your hotel rooms. Btw, they have English menus.
