Lunch time at this restaurant in Yokohama, a few minutes walk from Makita Station. Since it was a little early, the restaurant was empty so I sat down wherever I wanted. You will be offered cold tea first, so when you get the tea, it will be served to you in a pot! Overseas, there is often a charge for such cases, but here it was a free service. This time, I ordered stir-fried shrimp and ginkgo from the daily menu. It was served fairly quickly, with the main side dishes, rice, soup, and zha cai. It's the main side dish, but the basic seasoning is Chinese salty, and it's very delicious. The rice goes well with just the right amount of salt that doesn't interfere with the flavor of the ingredients. And the kind lunch that offered unlimited refills even after the rice was finished was a highly satisfying meal. Lastly, for dessert, you can choose almond milk with coconut milk, but I chose coconut milk. The black bubble wrap was a fun palate cleanser. If you come to this area, you will definitely come back again.

I went around 1:30 in the afternoon. The store is clean and you can relax. Black sweet and sour pork lunch 880 yen; other menu items also 880 yen. This is different from Machi Chuka, a decent Chinese restaurant on the outskirts of town. Zasai is so delicious! And the food is elegantly prepared. I wanted to go there at night too.

We have Sunday lunch almost every week. It's open even on Sundays, so it's always packed with people from the neighborhood and people who are just walking around the area. The food is prepared by the head chef alone, so it may take a while to be served, but the food is delicious and the lunch prices start at 600 yen, which is very reasonable. It seems like there are a lot of repeat customers, so it can't be helped that it's crowded.
