This is a Nouvelle Chinois (new Chinese cuisine) restaurant. The approach from the entrance on the first floor to the shop on the second floor is long and exciting. The interior of the restaurant is designed so that you can look out from the kitchen, and there are 4 tables and 3 counter seats. Although the store is bright, indirect lighting is used well and the contrast creates a very nice atmosphere. This time, we had the classic course for 5,500 yen/person (8 dishes in total). Every dish had a perfect combination of ingredients and seasonings and was very delicious. Among them, the fried Asahi sea bream and shark fin were especially the best. The Asahi sea bream's soft flesh and crispy skin were entwined with the sauce, and it went perfectly with the condiments (especially the Japanese ginger), so much so that I groaned (in a low voice). Although the color of the sauce was lighter, it was full of flavor and filling, and when I ate it with rice, the flavor expanded even further and I was enchanted. They have a variety of drinks, including beer and Shaoxing wine, but I think this restaurant is best for enjoying wine and food. In addition to red/white wine, there was also sparkling (including champagne) and orange wine. The atmosphere was calm but not too formal, and the customer service was friendly and polite, so we had a great time. Thank you for the meal.

A reasonable modern Chinese restaurant in Kawagoe. It's so luxurious that you can't believe it's only 5,500 yen. I was surprised that the first dish was Peking duck. The second plate consists of 9 small appetizer dishes. All of them are delicious, but the shrimp pickled in Shaoxing wine is the best. Next was soup for New Year's, so I was happy that it included mochi. The seafood dish is fried flatfish. It was fluffy. And then there's the boiled shark fin. It's not something you get in a 5,500 yen course lol. It was also a new experience to eat the stew with rice. The meat dish is sweet and sour pork with strawberries inside. That's a nice idea. At this point, you will be asked if you would like to order ramen for 500 yen. Of course I ordered it. The bite-sized, peppery chashu noodles are delicious. The dessert of apricot kernels is also refreshing and good. A famous store with good staff service.

The fun times pass quickly. The recommended wine went well with the food and was very good! I will go again!
