Godo, Gifu, Japan｜Keirin

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Gifu area. Usually I don't like Japanese version of Chinese food. However this place is definitely an exception. While not the cheapest Chinese restaurant, it is worth it. This is my 2nd time here. First time coming here was in 2012 and the 2nd time was in 2017.

I stopped by for lunch while walking Nakasendo. Today's lunch was 850 yen. Very delicious and satisfying. I want to come back, but it's a restaurant far from my home.

Visited on Saturday at 12pm. Due to the good reviews, there are already 3 groups waiting. However, I was seated within 5 minutes. This time I ordered the bowl set (950 yen including tax) from the lunch menu. The contents of the set seem to change regularly. This time it was a set of salt ramen and beef bowl. It also comes with aemono, pickled vegetables, and almond tofu. The food was delivered within 10 minutes of ordering. This set has a lot of volume, but both the ramen and beef bowl were of a very high standard! The salt ramen had simple ingredients: corn, seaweed, and green onions, but the thin noodles had a nice texture, and above all, the rich soup was amazing. Also, the gyudon is melty with onions, and above all, I was impressed by the softness of the meat. It's so soft that you don't need to chew it, and the soup is thick, so it's a drinkable gyudon lol 950 yen for this quality! No wonder it's thriving. I will visit again.
