Nagoya, Aichi, Japan｜Chinese Restaurant RYUJO

On our current trip to Japan, we decided to have non-Japanese cuisines. We saw this Chinese restaurant in our hotel. The food pictures were beautiful so we decided to try it. The atmosphere was very elegant. The food turned out amazing, even better than the best dim sum we ever had in Hong Kong! The only negative was the staff not refilling our tea unless we asked.

When I visited here for lunch previously, the ingredients made the dish taste delicious, so I visited again. This time I tried Shanghai crab tsukemen. The noodles are so thin that you might think they are Ibo no Ito. It has a moderately chewy texture and is not overpowering, so it goes well with hot water without any punch. Even though it lacks punch, it doesn't mean it lacks flavor; it has a strong umami flavor, and as far as I can remember, it's the most elegant and I personally like it very much. It comes with a Shanghai crab filling, which has quite a strong flavor, so I enjoyed it while adding black vinegar and a small amount of chili oil. Some reviews have complained about the staff's response, but when I visited, I didn't notice any particular problems, probably because it wasn't that crowded.
