Taito City, Tokyo, Japan｜Ume Sushi

Small little sushi place, with one of the sweetest owners. They were really nice and welcoming and the food was great and compared to other sushi places not that expensive. I really recommend coming here and checking the restaurant out. They even gave us complimentary Miso Soup and Matcha Ice + Tea (really good). The only thing that was a bit weird were the wooden chopsticks (usually sushi places and higher end restaurants do/did not use one-way tableware), but I guess maybe that is the aftermath of the pandemic, because I have yet to go to a restaurant in Japan in 2023 which does not only have wooden chopsticks.

Wonderful sushi. Very kind people. Calm and relaxing place. Had an amazing experience going there by myself. Very authentic.

Best toro and super fresh uni. The chef’s grandfather opened this place in 1906, the server said. Super happy and fully satisfied belly. Pretty pricey place and very quiet inside.
