Wakayama, Japan｜Ko Sushi

We arrived a little early, before they had opened, but the family that runs this traditional sushi restaurant were very welcoming and let us sit at the sushi bar while they got ready. The chef quickly put together a sushi box sampler of his own choosing while setting the fish for the day, and each bite was amazing! The fish was so fresh and full of flavour that we high-fived with happiness at stumbling across this little gem. Definitely worth a visit.

My best experience so far in Japan. Had a long excellent conversation with the chef, we worked hard to converse with a mix of English and Japanese but found some excellent middle ground. I strongly recommend this if you want to truly experience an amazing evening! :D!
