A chef I follow on Twitter recommended it, so I invited a local friend to visit. Located a few minutes walk from Kamakura Station, this is a small shop with only counter seats, tucked away in a small shopping street. First we toasted with draft beer, then switched to white wine, and enjoyed assorted sashimi and tempura as snacks. In the topping case, there was a fine and delicious-looking fugu milt, and I ordered both grilled and tempura. For nigiri sushi, we had ojisan, red clam, mantis shrimp, scallop, sea urchin, whitebait, fatty tuna, mackerel, shrimp, and egg, and they were all delicious. We had a great time chatting about Kamakura with the owner and other customers, and had a great time. This hidden restaurant is a recommended place to visit when you stop by Kamakura. For our nigiri sushi, we had redbarred rockcod, ark shell, mantis shrimp, scallop, sea urchin, whitebait, fatty tuna, mackerel, shrimp, and egg – all of which were delicious. We had a great time chatting with the owner and other customers about various Kamakura topics in a friendly atmosphere. This hidden gem is definitely a must-visit spot when you're in Kamakura.
