Yokosuka, Kanagawa, Japan｜Hamazushi Kinugasa shop

I love it here and I will return. This was busy when I went Sunday evening but it was still fast service for one person. I loved that it was really clean. I like it better than the hamazushi by the Yokosuka station

I’ve heard about the “sushi go-round” conveyor belts, but this was my first time. On the way in there are these depressing single person cubicles that reminded me of the tables where prison visitors call the inmates. Once past, there are brightly-lit booths with the tablets the Japanese prefer to human interaction. Service is prompt once you punch it in. I wish we had a Hamazushi back home. I think it would take off.

This place became our usual sushi spot! The sushi is fast and always super fresh even during rush hour with many customers at the same time. And there are a lot of free parking spots on site!
