Yokosuka, Kanagawa, Japan｜Shintomi Sushi

This is where I like to go for sushi when I want to be left alone and not be rushed. I over ordered, mainly because I don’t know when I’ll be back and it looked all good. Excellent quality sushi, meaning it tasted FRESH and fell apart in my mouth. Yes buttery. Thank you chef for reaching over and seasoning my shoyu. It felt like my father was helping me. Not sure what the little piece of fish was on the tiny dish. Maybe mackarel. It was really good.

This place is amazing! The absolute best and highest-quality sushi I’ve ever had. Hands-down. It can take a little while to get your order when they’re busy, but it’s absolutely worth it! They’re friendly to Westerners and now have a menu in English. Just an amazing, authentic Japanese sushi experience worth the visit and worth every yen. -Biscuit

I had the most amazing sushi dinner at Shintomi Sushi. Everyone was so sweet to me despite the fact I didn’t speak Japanese. I felt welcome and I left full and happy!
