Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan｜Sushi Zen

Located in Yokohama, if I remember correctly. Went with a friend that works nearby. We both lived in Manhattan at one point in the past and used to hit some of the better sushi restaurants in NYC, so it was nice to visit one together in greater Tokyo area. It's his favorite small proprietor sushi restaurant. It was fantastic, both the freshness and preparation of the sashimi as well as the chef's matsutake mushroom dishes. Lots of locals stopped in over the course of the evening to dine at the front counter.

My friend told me. I always go to places that rotate with my children, but this time my husband and I visited. It was a nostalgic sushi restaurant with a very good atmosphere. Both sushi and tempura were very delicious. I will go eat there again! I was not good at conger eel, but it was fluffy and very delicious. I will try to go to lunch next time.

It feels like a sushi restaurant in town, but I think it's quite delicious. The ingredients you can eat will vary depending on what is purchased that day (probably) When I visited in early autumn, the swordfish nigiri was very delicious. I ordered too much alcohol, so the cost went up a bit, but if you don't order too much alcohol, it'll be around 5,000 to 6,000 yen.
