Kyoto, Japan｜Takara Sushi

An inconspicuous little shop! Hidden away in a more quite part of the little town, and not nearly as busy as the rest of the shops across the river. The shop owner and his wife were such kind hosts, and spoke really good english! The prices here are vey good, and the sushi tastes very good! We got the 7 piece set, then got additional items afterwards! I hope more people are able to visit them!

Amazing Sushi at an amazing price. We finished hiking the bamboo forest and seeing the monkeys and came here for a quick meal, chef was super nice and personal. His wife was very cute and served us tea. Some of the best Nigri I've had, better than a lot of high end restaurants in Seattle. Definitely stop by if your hungry. *Note if it looks closer knock on the door there is no open sign.

Sweet couple who lives above their sushi shop! Chef is very friendly and makes some of the fastest sushi I’ve ever seen. He stops serving once he runs out of sushi rice. Recommend stopping here for a sushi fix, a refreshing beer, and friendly chat.
