Kyoto, Japan｜Sushi Masuda

Came with a large group and had an excellent meal. We were the only ones there that night, so we got to speak with the chef for a couple of hours. It was great speaking with him in English and the bit of Japanese that I know. Hearing about his life/talking about ours along with delicious sushi was a great experience. Will definitely return when I visit Kyoto again in the future!

Amazing experience, sushi was fantastic and fairly priced. Owner knows enough English to have simple conversation. After having conversation with him I learn he has over 50yrs experience making sushi and it shows. Highly recommended, will go out off my way to see this sweet man and eat his sushi the next time I’m in Kyoto.

Wonderful experience - beautiful lunch and great conversation with the owner who has been making sushi for 52 years. We wish we had time to go back!
