Mutsuzawa, Chiba, Japan｜Sushi Dokorotanaka

Me and my mate came to this place for a proper feed and were not disappointed. Tanaka-san behind the counter is a really interesting and lively guy who is friendly and happy to chat in Japanese. He was very inviting. It's a family business which has some of the best sushi and sashimi to be offered and presented in the prettiest way. We were also surprised with some complimentary watermelon which was probably from their own farm. It was sweet, juicy and cold and eaten quickly. Great service and quality. It is also very affordable for the quality you're receiving - well worth a visit. I now have a restaurant recommendation for Chiba. Thanks, Tanaka-san!

Excellent place for sushi in Chiba after a surf. The menu is in Kanji but the adorable family who runs the restaurant will help translate the menu to English. Prices are fair!

We added seafood bowl and chawanmushi for lunch! The ingredients were also very delicious. The bamboo shoot miso soup and chawanmushi were exquisite. Revisit! I visited for lunch on Wednesday. I went at 11:30. It was very crowded and I had to wait about 30 minutes after ordering! ! Many stores are closed on Wednesdays, so it must be busy! The Anabara bowl was extremely delicious.
