I would highly recommend anyone who has an opportunity to be in the Matsumoto area to take a cab and go have a meal of a lifetime. I first was amazed with the view and the ambience - this would be that special place that I would take my wife for a romantic occasion. The host was wonderful - she was well informed and pleasantly asked clarifying questions that made it clear what we were ordering. And then the food - the beef was amazing! We chose the shabu shabu and sukiyaki but not only was the dish excellent, it was the sweetest, butteriest beef I've had in a very long time. I tried to take some pictures of the food but I felt like none of it did justice. I later learned that this is premium grade Shinshu beef - premium being a higher than A5 rank. And the dessert was a kinako mochi gelato - not too sweet but a perfect end note to an incredible symphony of taste. Overall, this is the best restaurant experience in this area.
