Chino, Nagano, Japan｜Sakurasaku

A specialty restaurant for horse meat It's a part of our culture to eat horse meat in Shinshu (Nagano) Chino and Suwa areas. In particular we eat it as Sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot dish). We have a variety of horse meat dishes since we welcome you and want you to enjoy them. Please enjoy a meal from Shinshu served with fresh plateau vegetables.

I didn’t expect Google ratings to be so reliable. Coming from Suwa City, I saw a very high Google rating on the way and came here for lunch. I arrived in 15 minutes before I stopped ordering at 1:30. The environment is five stars, the service is five stars, the dishes are five stars, the horse meat sashimi is very delicious, and so is the tempura. High level, both white rice and chestnut rice are great. Recommended if you are nearby!

I wasn't able to visit because of the timing, but my wish finally came true. Since it was lunch, I decided on the horse sashimi set meal (peach, ribs, loin) for ¥2,580 and the horse cutlet set meal with grated ponzu sauce for ¥1,850. This is a store I would like to visit again. The prices and menu are attractive, including steak and yukhoe.
