Shibuya City, Tokyo, Japan｜Sukiyaki Matsukiya

We tried our luck with a walk-in at Matsukiya in Shibuya, and we snagged the last table. We went for the standard Sukiyaki set, and the beef was already tender and melt in the mouth. I love the fact that sukiyaki sauce here wasn't overly salty. The fresh veggies and raw egg were fantastic for dipping the beef!😍 if you are sukiyaki lover, this place is not to be missed!

Boutique family style restaurant. Definitely amazing sukiyaki that blew my mind. We didn’t have a reservation so we were waiting outside the door before it opens. Glad they let us in. 1. Sauce is great balance of salty and sweet. Not very strong or heavy but delight. 2. Meat is ridiculous. Even their 5000 yen sukiyaki set is great. 3. The old lady who cooked the beef in front of us was super super welcoming and nice.

My daughter found this sukiyaki restaurant through google as we stayed at the nearby hotel. We had the Premium beef set. There are three big slices of wagyu beef with starter, rice, clam soup and vegetables. The set ends with a slice of melon & ice cream and a cup of hot tea. The portion is just nice for us. The beef is very tendered and not too oily. Their sukiyaki sauce is not salty. The best part is that they cooked the beef and vegetables for us, right in front of us..otherwise we may overcooked them. Their services are great, staff are friendly and attentive.
