Okayama, Japan｜DANK

We loved the atmosphere, the service, and the food. We are traveling around Japan and this has been the best place we have been. Even though we barely speak Japanese, the waitress went above and beyond to provide a good service. The sashimi was clearly fresh and well made. We have had amazing sushi but this fish was just so good. We would happily eat here again, but sadly will be traveling on.

Delicious food with very friendly staff. Managed to order despite not knowing Japanese. The staff also catered to dietary requirements. Great atmosphere with private cubicles and an authentic Japanese feel.

We had just walked around Okayama castle and Korakuen garden in the hot sun and were starving (aka: hangry) and we stumbled across this place which was a lifesaver. They seated us straight away and we knew we had found somewhere special. We ordered a lunch set, and the food just kept coming! We were blown away by the various delicious morsels of food in cute little dishes all about the table, especially the cooked fish, miso and sashimi. It was a really memorable lunch and we left feeling so satisfied and happy - even though there was a total language barrier, the hospitality and friendliness of the waitresses and chef was fantastic and we are so fortunate to have had a meal here.
