Great little bar, right by the train station. The staff are extremely friendly and some of them know excellent English. The atmosphere is very traditional and cozy, even if everything is a bit cramped. The menu includes a great selection of drinks. Charge is 300Y per person.

Bar Tail is an absolute gem and one of the highlights of my first trip to Japan. I was just wandering the streets of Koenji and passed by when one of the staff came and invited me in. Inside it is dimly lit and so cozy. The staff are so sweet, welcoming and friendly, and right away made me feel at ease despite my language barrier. The drinks were to DIE for and they had delicious snacks available too. If I lived in Koenji I would be there all the time. Thanks for making my visit so lovely and memorable. ❤️
