Toshima City, Tokyo, Japan｜Bar LIBRE Ikebukuro

Truly excellent experience, from the quality and innovation of the cocktails to the friendliness and hospitality of the staff. English was widely spoken, both on the menu as well as by the staff themselves. We happened to stop in on a night where they were hosting a talented bartender from Vietnam who brought in four additional special drinks, which were also fabulous. Their whisky selection (particularly their Scotch inventory) was huge, with many unique bottles! Definitely worth a stop if you find yourself in Ikebukuro, and worth a detour if you're in another part of the city!

We found Bar LIBRE when we were looking up cocktail places near our hotel, and I'm so glad we did - this is easily the best cocktail bar I have been to full stop. Wonderful drinks, and very friendly and attentive staff, especially the bartender. We got seats at the counter, and really enjoyed watching the drinks get made.

A hidden jem in Ikebukuro. The staff is very welcoming and their English is very high leveled, making the experience more immersive with great communication. The specialty of the place is the cocktails which look and taste amazing.
