Great atmosphere and the drinks tasted great too, incredibly difficult to get a pint of Guinness that tastes exactly like it does in Ireland outside of Ireland but this was perfection in a pint glass and took me back to my Dublin trip. One star for food because I didn’t eat and the meat pie was sold out so not accurate.

Great bar and very nice owner! Spotlessly clean toilets and premises. Owner speaks English and there were three Wakayama beers on sale when I visited. Had the fish and chips which were very nice. Right next to the main train station so make sure you pop in for a post or or pre travel beer!

If you visit Wakayama, you must go to The Castle Bar!!! This authentic Irish Pub has a great atmosphere, a fantastic selection of beers & spirits and delicious food. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The prices are good and you get good value for your money. They have DAZN so you can watch soccer, baseball, rugby. This pub is a lot of fun - next time I’m in Wakayama, I’m definitely coming back!!! Thank you for the great times 🍻
