Great bar near Shiki Station. The owner is an American with a gift for gab (Japanese staff sometimes available; owner is fluent in Japanese) and the clientele (at least when I was at the counter) were friendly and forthcoming. 12 taps of craft beer, both Japanese and foreign. I recommend the steaks! Great beef seared and cooked by the owner himself. The cocktail menu is more of a "choose your own adventure" type of thing; say what you want and how much you want to pay, and the owner will make a drink according to your wishes (with suggestions if needed). When I was there, all cocktails were made with fresh fruit (when needed)! Fun times! Sometimes the owner's dog (Max) is there, but not often. Dog hater's are ok! :) But I recommend getting a beer and a steak and having a pint. Quite a surprising place in Saitama, only 20 minutes by train from Ikebukuro.

Always great. Must try: wagyuu hamburger! The owner is very flexible and wil make food for order if not on the menu too. The craft beers are amazing.
