Had an amazing time at Kaktel! Lovely conversation with Nori, and other guests in a real cozy and intimate setting. Loved my drinks! Nori was so helpful finding the right drink for me!

A real Japanese mixology bar. Hard to find. Relaxed atmosphere. The experience was the best we had in Kyoto. Incredible. Delicious drinks and fun conversations about cocktails. Went back several times and will visit again. Words can't express how much better this bar is than any other bar in Kyoto. 1,300~1,600 per drink depending on what it is. Very affordable for Kyoto. You must go especially since there are few tourists. It gets full so get there on open or right after. Please be humble and go in ready to learn.

AMAZING but very tough to find. Here’s a guide because this place was so cool. After google walking over, look for a circular cement column. The bar is on the side of the river same as 7/11, basically across the little street from 7/11 and maybe 30m closer to river. Look for a little circular sign and it’s on 3rd floor. This was as classy, as cool, and as simply awesome and delicious as a true cocktail bar can be. Room for like 10 people tops, the drinks were delicious and super reasonable. If you can’t find it, call them and they will come get you!
