Amazing experience for true whiskey lovers. Make sure you register and make an appointment for tours on their website. If you are indifferent about whiskey it might be a bit far (2hours from Shinjuku Station)

This is Suntory's Hakushu Distillery where they make one of their famous single malts, Hakushu. There are plant tours with tasting (unless you're the driver), a whiskey museum, a museum shop, and a bird sanctuary.

I stopped by when I went out the other day! After completing the reception, you can hear nostalgic music while walking around the premises, and you will be surrounded by a nostalgic atmosphere. There is a lot of nature, so I think children can enjoy it. Unfortunately, I couldn't participate in the tour, so I couldn't visit the distillery, but the museum alone is quite enjoyable. The interior is cool, and above all, there is a bar where you can sample sake, so I think people over 20 can enjoy it even more! Tasting starts from 100 yen for 15ml (cheap!), and you can also have a valuable experience by drinking 0-year-old sake (no barrel aging)! (You can taste not only Hakushu but also Yamazaki) I want to join the tour next time~
